Florida Girl’s Cancer Charity Tips 100 Hats to LogoUp

Orlando, FL (July 19, 2014) – Sarah’s Sporting Clays Against Cancer is a Central Florida charity created in memory of Sarah Szafranski. Before the 16-year-old girl and sporting clays enthusiast lost her battle with lymphoma / leukemia, she and her family wanted to fund cancer research and honor her memory.

Though she was a teen and facing a terminal illness, Sarah knew she could leave a lasting impact on the world. Her desire became to help find a cure, but in a different way.

Her wish was to establish a fund that would enable researchers to continue to work toward finding a cure. She played an active role in making her own wish a reality.

So the daughter of Orlando Make-A-Wish Foundation board member Bob Szafranski decided to create the foundation.

For their first sporting clays outing, Sarah, her family and event organizers hoped to wear branded apparel. Problem was, the marketing budget was too tight to buy any clothing for the event. A supporter of Sara’s Clays contacted LogoUp. Within weeks, Sarah’s Clays received 100 hats embroidered and shipped free of charge.

Sarah lost her battle with cancer. But the Sarah’s Clays Against Cancer event lives on as a testament to her determination to beat cancer.

“The hats that they made were the perfect complement to our event,” said Bob Szafranski. “The people from LogoUp were supportive and generous, donating the hats that were such a great tribute to the memory of my daughter.”

“When we called LogoUp, they jumped at the opportunity to help,” recalled Mike Harris, a supporter and area business owner. “Turns out, their products not only are high-quality and affordable. The people at LogoUp actually have a conscience.”
